All in all it was a great weekend. We started a new series called “What If Everyone?” The premise of the series is what if everyone in our city served someone else for one day.

God was lifted, people were served, hearts were changed.

Video Shoots

This past week we had 2 video shoots. The first was on site at Naeem and Ashley’s house for a video that would be embedded in Naeem’s messgae:

The second shoot was shot in our offices. We had to put together a set to facilitate an interview. Naeem is doing a series of 5 interviews with different people who represent a different world religion, this shoot was Mormonism. The room is our creative meeting room. There was already a big sectional couch in the room and we had to remove that. We brought in some pipe and drape, lighting truss, and some basic LED lighting fixtures. Overall I was please with the shot.

Execution

ha….not that kind of execution, jeez!

We at Mosaic are a portable church. There are times we loathe it and there are times we love it. The one thing that we work VERY hard at is being excellent at planning ahead. You see, sunday mornings is our time for executing all that we have planned. We don’t have the freedom to actually work on the the stage during the week in preparation for a new series set design so we make the best of it. We have to plan it all out and then come sunday morning at 6:15 am…we execute. There have been times it goes very smooth and there are times the morning is VERY stressful. Being portable could be an excuse for us to say, “we can’t do that” but we don’t let it be. It could be SO easy for us to have one stage set up, but in my opinion that would be lazy. We have not cornered the market on having a high level of production and being portable but it is a value that we are making a priority.
